Within the Sikh Panth, leadership of a historic Sampardaye is determined by direct lineage, Panthic acceptance and institutional recognition.

Sant Baba Avtar Singh Ji, the 12th direct Descendant of Bahadar Baba Bidhi Chand Ji, is the current Head Jathedar of the Sampardaye Dal Panth Baba Bidhi Chand Ji.

His leadership is:

• Recognised by Sri Akal Takhat Sahib, the supreme temporal authority of the Sikh Panth
  • Acknowledged by the Shiromani Gurdwara Parbandhak Committee (SGPC)
   • Accepted and aligned with major Sikh organisations and Panthic institutions worldwide

Baba Avtar Singh Ji represents the continuation of the Guru-blessed responsibility entrusted to the direct lineage of Baba Bidhi Chand Ji and serves as the principal religious and Panthic authority of the Sampardaye.

“ਸੁਨਿ ਕਰਿ ਸਤਿਗੁਰ ਭਏ ਪ੍ਰਸੀਨਾ ।
ਸਭਿਨਿ ਸੁਨਾਵਤਿ ਉਚਰਨ ਕੀਨਾ ।
ਬਿਧੀ ਚੰਦ ਛੀਨਾ, ਗੁਰ ਸੀਨਾ ।
ਸਦਾ ਗੁਰੂ ਕੇ ਰਸ ਮਹਿਂ ਭੀਨਾ ।
ਸਰਬ ਬਿਕਾਰਨ ਤੇ ਉਰ ਹੀਨਾ ।
ਹਮਰੇ ਉਰ ਅਨੰਦ ਕੋ ਦੀਨਾ ।
ਦੁਸ਼ਕਰ ਕਾਜ ਸੁਗਮ ਕਰਿ ਲੀਨਾ ।
ਗੁਰੂ ਸੇਵ ਮਹਿਂ ਸੁਮਤਿ ਪ੍ਰਬੀਨਾ ।”
